Responsibilities
- Develop firmware for Ring’s camera-centric devices, including new products, existing-device support, and new features.
- Integrate new hardware and software services and improve battery life, boot time, latency, reliability, and other device-performance KPIs.
- Manage and prioritize a personal backlog while investigating complex technical issues.
- Contribute to system architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scalability for new and existing systems.
- Collaborate with partners and teams across Europe, Asia, and the United States through product delivery from development to customer launch.
Requirements
- Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# with object-oriented design.
- Experience contributing to architecture and design, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Professional, non-internship software development experience.
- Experience with embedded development in C/C++.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
