Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security controls and policies within AWS.
- Perform comprehensive security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Lead the integration of security practices into the DevOps lifecycle.
- Utilize AWS security tools and explore third-party solutions to enhance security posture.
- Assist in running penetration tests and security audits, ensuring effective remediation.
- Stay informed about security threats and compliance mandates, providing strategic guidance.
- Mentor junior security team members and promote a culture of security awareness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate security requirements into engineering projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with 3 years focused on AWS cloud security.
- Deep understanding of AWS architecture and security services.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Go.
- Familiarity with containerization and microservices security.
- Solid knowledge of network security and secure coding practices.
- Excellent analytical skills for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
