Base Salary
$150k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Configure GitLab CI pipelines, templates, and components for applications written in multiple languages and frameworks.
- Develop Python applications, scripts, and libraries for build, deployment, and DevOps customer tools.
- Create Kubernetes configuration templates with YTT for consistent, customizable deployments.
- Debug deployments on Kubernetes distributions including OpenShift and Anthos, using tools such as ArgoCD and Istio.
- Maintain project and platform documentation in READMEs and Confluence.
- Lead smaller DevEx platform projects that add new capabilities.
- Build and maintain systems supporting software development, testing, deployment, monitoring, debugging, and secure management of deployment parameters and credentials.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of direct experience.
- Strong coding fluency in at least one programming language, including Python, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, Scala, Golang, or Rust.
- Working knowledge of Linux systems and the command line.
- Familiarity with source control, CI/CD pipelines, package publishing, and containerization.
- Preferred experience developing CLI applications and deploying web APIs to cloud services or Kubernetes.
- Preferred familiarity with Kubernetes, Nomad, OpenShift Container Platform, Anthos, GKE, AKS, and EKS.
- Preferred familiarity with observability tools and stacks including Prometheus, Elasticsearch/Fluentd/Kibana, Telegraf/InfluxDB/Grafana/Kapacitor, DataDog, Sensu, Jaeger, Sentry, and OpsGenie.
- Bonus experience with highly available applications, multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters, service mesh technologies, event buses, distributed computing, and secret management tools.
