Base Salary
$115k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build polished product experiences across Glean’s web, desktop, and mobile applications.
- Evolve the design system through components, tokens, usage rules, governance, adoption, and documentation.
- Create rules, linting, guidelines, and a product design skill that enable AI coding agents to use design-system components correctly.
- Set the frontend craft standard through prototypes, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration with designers and engineers.
- Prototype interaction and motion concepts in code to resolve design questions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience spanning product design and frontend engineering, or exceptional depth in one area with strong fluency in the other.
- Expertise in TypeScript, React, CSS, modern web UI, motion, interaction detail, and accessibility.
- Experience building or maintaining a design system at scale, including components, tokens, governance, and adoption.
- Experience using coding agents or AI-assisted development and informed opinions on producing high-quality UI with them.
- A portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual and interaction craft.
- A self-directed approach to identifying and fixing product polish gaps.
