Responsibilities
- Build and evolve core banking services supporting ledger operations and transactions.
- Develop a globally scalable transaction history and balance management platform.
- Solve distributed-systems challenges for resilient services operating under high transaction volumes.
- Modernize existing systems through improved observability, test coverage, refactoring, and new architectural patterns.
- Contribute to architecture and build ledger and transaction history systems from the ground up.
- Collaborate with Risk, Treasury, Finance, and Infrastructure teams on compliant and reliable operations.
- Own services from design through production, including deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Solid backend experience building reliable, high-volume services, with knowledge of system design, APIs, data modeling, and service interactions.
- Proficiency in Go and/or Kotlin, with willingness to work in other languages such as Elixir.
- Ability to write maintainable, well-tested code and take ownership from development through production.
- Experience building, deploying, and running services in cloud environments such as AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Willingness to learn relational databases and maintain performance and data consistency under load.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across regions and making technical decisions jointly.
- Interest in building reliable financial and banking services.
- Preferred: Elixir experience, advanced PostgreSQL skills including performance tuning, complex queries, or schema design, and experience with Kafka and observability tools such as Grafana and Honeycomb.
