Base Salary
$165k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify improvement opportunities with Operations, Optimization, Interventions, and other teams and develop data-driven solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy applications using Python, SQL, Snowflake, and AWS.
- Apply software development practices including version control, code reviews, testing, and continuous integration and deployment.
- Collaborate as a product owner with Technology and Production on implementation and ongoing support of in-house solutions.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-level systems and standards.
- Build reporting tools and dashboards using Power BI, Streamlit, and Python web frameworks.
- Use AI tools such as Claude Code and create AI agents to facilitate analysis and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly Petroleum Engineering preferred.
- Strong Python and SQL programming skills for data-intensive applications.
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Competency with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Dagster+ preferred.
- Experience developing in Palantir is a plus.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, learning, customer-focus, and data preparation abilities.
