Responsibilities
- Lead technical designs for new features and services, including investigation, code analysis, development, testing, and release.
- Design and develop scalable cloud-based solutions and distributed applications using .NET, Azure, AWS, microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Investigate live-system issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Management, architects, DevOps, Agile Release Train members, users, and other stakeholders to define requirements and select solutions.
- Assess architectural impacts involving security, availability, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical strategy for Azure Data Services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 7+ years of experience delivering software solutions.
- 4+ years of experience in system architecture and design for scalable enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and distributed applications and services on cloud platforms.
- Experience designing and developing cloud-based solutions on Azure and AWS using .NET 6+, microservices architecture, and API development.
- Expertise with Azure and hybrid cloud environments and containerized workloads using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Preferred qualifications include strong communication, technical design, problem-solving, debugging, and ownership skills, as well as experience leading cloud migrations in highly regulated industries.
