Responsibilities
- Lead technical designs and investigate, analyze, develop, test, and release new features and services.
- Collaborate with product management, architects, DevOps, and other stakeholders to select effective solutions within system constraints.
- Investigate live-system issues and propose root-cause solutions.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Assess architectural impacts related to security, availability, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements and modifications.
- Drive engineering strategy discussions and end-to-end improvements for Azure Data Services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 7+ years of experience delivering software solutions.
- 4+ years of experience in system architecture and design for scalable enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and distributed applications and services on Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience designing and developing cloud-based solutions on Azure and AWS, including microservices architecture and API development using .NET 6+.
- Expertise with Azure and hybrid cloud strategies and containerized workloads using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and best practices.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud migration leadership in a highly regulated industry, strong technical design and debugging skills, and the ability to lead ambiguous technical challenges.
