Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex enterprise-scale applications across front-end, back-end, integration, and data layers.
- Define engineering standards, coding practices, architectural principles, and technology selection approaches.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Build REST APIs, microservices, event-driven solutions, and cloud-native applications.
- Ensure operational stability through observability, monitoring, performance tuning, and production support.
- Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, software quality, and security practices.
- Participate in PI Planning, Sprint Planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, architects, technical leads, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to governance forums, technical design reviews, risk management, compliance, and security standards.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical coaching, and promote continuous learning and engineering capability development.
Requirements
- Extensive full stack software engineering experience in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong back-end development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Experience designing and building REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies, including Oracle and Mongo.
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitLab, JIRA, SonarQube, Prisma, Wiz, and Maven or Gradle.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing, and software quality engineering.
- Experience with Kafka and message queues.
- Experience using AI models such as Claude and GitLab Duo for rapid application development.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, object-oriented design, and data structures.
- Preferred experience in corporate banking or payments technology environments, distributed systems, high-volume transaction processing, and real-time integration platforms.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions and delivery risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across product teams.
