Base Salary
$150k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and operate autonomous systems during customer demonstrations, exercises, and operational events.
- Travel to customer sites to support field testing, system integrations, and mission deployments.
- Develop and modify software in the field to resolve mission-critical problems.
- Integrate systems with customer platforms, communications systems, sensors, and partner technologies.
- Diagnose software, networking, hardware-interface, and system-integration issues in operational environments.
- Analyze logs, telemetry, and system performance to identify root causes and validate fixes.
- Collaborate with software, autonomy, hardware, product, and program teams to improve system reliability.
- Build internal tools, deployment automation, documentation, and operational workflows.
- Train operators and support customer acceptance, onboarding, and technical demonstrations.
- Capture field lessons learned and translate them into product improvements.
- Serve as a technical advisor to customers, partners, and government stakeholders during deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least one year of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, robotics, DevOps, systems integration, field engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Strong Linux experience and confidence using command-line tools, logs, and telemetry for troubleshooting.
- Programming experience in at least one modern language such as C++, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, APIs, containerized applications, or distributed systems.
- Ability to work across software, hardware, networking, and operations.
- Strong communication skills when working with engineers, operators, customers, and government stakeholders.
- Ability to travel extensively in the continental United States and travel 50–75% of the time.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes autonomous systems, robotics, unmanned vehicles, maritime platforms, customer deployments, operational exercises, or field testing.
- Preferred experience includes ROS2, DDS, Docker, Kubernetes, PX4, ArduPilot, communications systems, tactical networks, command-and-control software, embedded hardware interfaces, edge computing, robotic sensors, developer tools, deployment automation, or government and defense programs.
- An active U.S. security clearance is preferred.
