Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable Python applications and services.
- Build data ingestion, transformation, and processing solutions using Apache Spark and PySpark.
- Develop and manage data pipelines and DAGs with Apache Airflow.
- Build and maintain Python-based APIs, backend services, and microservices.
- Define and implement application deployment strategies on Azure using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to support application availability, performance, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams on technical solutions and project delivery.
- Contribute to coding standards, architecture, code reviews, documentation, testing, and engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and stay current with Python, data processing, cloud, and DevOps technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of professional experience writing and deploying production-quality Python code.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
- Practical experience implementing and managing data pipelines with Apache Airflow, including modifying and writing DAGs.
- Experience working with Databricks and Azure cloud services.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for application containerization, orchestration, and deployment.
- Experience building scalable Python backend services, APIs, and microservices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and software-quality skills.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiarity with application deployment through CI/CD are preferred.
