Responsibilities
- Set technical direction across the bank's systems.
- Own the hardest problems end-to-end.
- Be the force multiplier on a small team.
- Ship AI-first and push the frontier of it.
- Lead vendor selection and ownership.
- Define the integration boundary with Affirm Inc.
- Build for examiners.
- Own the operational posture of the bank's systems.
- Influence up and across the organization.
- Help grow the team and the bar.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of owning high-stakes systems.
- Comfortable owning ambiguity at the largest scale.
- Hungry to leverage AI to drive outcomes.
- Bias toward simplicity in engineering culture.
- A track record of setting technical direction.
- Deep systems thinking across public cloud infrastructure.
- Regulated-environment experience in banking or similar fields.
- Direct experience with third-party platform integration.
- Comfortable as the technical face to non-engineering stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
