Responsibilities
- Build frontend experiences for Verkada’s cloud-managed access control product.
- Develop interfaces that let users manage doors, schedules, and user credentials from laptops or phones.
- Take loosely defined product ideas through completion with ownership and autonomy.
- Deliver best-in-class product experiences with strong attention to design, product details, and polish.
- Collaborate with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers on the access control product line.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry software engineering experience.
- Mastery of JavaScript, including scoping, closures, contexts, prototypes, and classes.
- Expertise using React.
- Strong architectural understanding of custom components, custom UI, and cross-browser support.
- Understanding of HTTP and practical debugging techniques.
- Working knowledge of at least one server-side framework and one database system.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite five days per week.
- Self-motivated problem-solving ability and readiness to take technical ownership of major systems.
