Responsibilities
- Support development and validation of machine learning and statistical models for business use cases.
- Build forecasting, predictive, recommendation, and price-elasticity models for reuse across business units.
- Contribute to Generative AI use cases through prompt development, LLM experimentation, and evaluation.
- Support RAG workflows involving document ingestion, embeddings, and retrieval.
- Perform data preparation, feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, and work with structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to integrate models into applications and pipelines and translate business needs into AI/ML solutions.
- Document models, assumptions, results, and data pipelines; monitor model performance and troubleshoot improvements.
- Use Databricks and AWS SageMaker to manage data, build models, and deploy solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and stay current with AI/ML trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Typically 2–4 years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning, or equivalent academic and project experience.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.
- Experience with SQL and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to cloud or data platforms such as Databricks or AWS.
- Familiarity with Git and experience working in agile or Scrum-based teams.
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly and document work.
- Exposure to Generative AI models or LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Anthropic.
- Familiarity with time-series forecasting methods such as ARIMA or Prophet.
- Basic experience with vector databases or similarity search concepts and notebook environments such as Jupyter.
- Interest in enterprise AI platforms, data governance, and scalable solutions.
