Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable, resilient, secure Java full stack applications aligned with enterprise standards.
- Build backend services with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, relational databases, data models, and SQL.
- Develop React front-end components with state management and integrations to backend services.
- Perform unit, component, integration, and regression testing and participate in peer code reviews.
- Provide application maintenance, production support, deployment support, monitoring, configuration management, authentication validation, backups, and performance tuning.
- Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, resolve production issues, and improve operational stability.
- Translate business and technology requirements into solutions and contribute to planning, estimation, risk analysis, dependencies, and implementation decisions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, systems analysts, solution designers, infrastructure, QA, application support, and business teams.
- Recommend improvements to development practices, automation, testing coverage, deployment processes, and application maintainability.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11 or later, core Java, object-oriented design, collections, concurrency, and modern development practices.
- Experience with Spring Boot, relational databases, data modeling, query optimization, and SQL development.
- Experience handling reference data, including security master management, corporate action processing, reconciliation, and exception handling.
- Experience with Broadridge, including the BPS, Gloss, and Impact data models.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and service-oriented integrations.
- Strong experience with microservices architecture, including service decomposition, API contracts, resiliency, observability, and deployment considerations.
- Hands-on experience with React, reusable components, state management, modern front-end development, and backend integration.
- Financial-institution experience and knowledge of enterprise controls, regulatory expectations, and production support are preferred.
- Python experience for automation, scripting, data analysis, or support tooling is preferred.
- Experience in Prime Brokerage, Securities Finance, related capital-markets domains, or Broadridge BPSA is preferred.
