Base Salary

$146k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Administer, engineer, and support enterprise Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence Data Center and Cloud instances.
  • Support the migration of Jira and Confluence from Data Center to Atlassian Cloud, including planning, validation, risk mitigation, security controls, stakeholder coordination, and post-migration tuning.
  • Translate business and delivery workflow requirements into Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, fields, automation, app usage, dashboards, reports, and planning views.
  • Own Atlassian platform governance, standards, roadmap support, backlog execution, vendor coordination, feature adoption, scalability, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement access models, security controls, and compliance requirements with IAM, third-party management, and enterprise security teams.
  • Build and maintain integrations with GitHub Enterprise, ServiceNow, and other SDLC or ITSM systems using supported patterns and APIs.
  • Create custom automations and scripts using Adaptavist ScriptRunner and Groovy.
  • Monitor performance, availability, and stability; participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning, and operational improvements.
  • Develop training, documentation, usage standards, and knowledge-sharing materials for administrators and end users.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on, system-level Jira and Confluence administration experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a highly regulated environment such as financial services, government, or healthcare.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Direct Jira and Confluence Data Center-to-Cloud migration experience is preferred.
  • Atlassian Certified Professional credentials such as ACP-120 or ACP-520 are preferred.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining REST APIs and integrations involving Atlassian products.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC practices, cloud-native application architectures, and patterns.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, business partners, leadership, security, IAM, compliance, and vendors while managing concurrent requests.
  • Willingness to contribute across design, implementation, testing, CI/CD, and deployment support.
