Responsibilities

  • Review system requirements and design documents to build an understanding of the applications under test.
  • Create, execute, and document detailed test cases using Test Management tools such as JIRA and JTMF.
  • Define test data and environment requirements and automate test cases using Selenium, Appium, and Rest Assured.
  • Test responsive web and mobile applications across browsers and Android and iOS devices.
  • Execute automated tests using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git.
  • Detect accessibility violations, conduct exploratory testing, log defects, and collaborate with development teams on resolutions.
  • Develop test plans, traceability matrices, and test closure reports for small to moderately complex projects.
  • Support data platforms, mobile and web applications, performance engineering, and virtualized testing environments as assigned.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide support to technology and business peers, identify issues, and improve processes and delivery outcomes.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant technology program such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Management, or Computing.
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for the co-op/intern position.
  • Interest in testing and ability to conduct basic Quality Engineering testing activities.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C, C++, and Python; database query languages; XML; API methods; and Microsoft Office.
  • Interest in learning and applying Azure Cloud, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous delivery technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical ability, attention to detail, self-motivation, independence, and proactivity.
  • Applications must include a resume of no more than two pages and a school transcript; all years of study are considered, with primary targeting of third- and fourth-year students.
