Responsibilities
- Design, develop, ship, operate, and support production software and platform services end to end.
- Build AI-powered products that engineers adopt and rely on.
- Integrate with enterprise platforms, third-party systems, APIs, and AI services that may be under-documented or rate-limited.
- Develop reliable, secure, observable cloud-native systems using containers and orchestration.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, warehouses, and data-driven solutions with reconciliation and correctness at scale.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across unfamiliar system layers and deliver explainable fixes.
- Collaborate with product engineering, IT, security, finance, infrastructure, business units, program management, executives, and AI vendors.
- Evaluate and apply emerging AI technologies, including LLMs and agent-based systems, to engineering challenges.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, shipping, operating, and supporting production software owned end to end.
- Strong programming expertise in at least one modern language and the ability to work across multiple technology stacks.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, concurrency, API and interface design, failure modes, distributed systems, and unfamiliar systems.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies, containers, orchestration, CI/CD, and production observability.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs, AI agents, or generative AI beyond casual use.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI critically and effectively in engineering practice, including recognizing when AI output is misleading.
- Experience with data-intensive systems such as pipelines, warehouses, and reconciliation, plus enterprise or third-party integrations.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, written and verbal English communication, and judgment in ambiguous environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
