Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, standardize, test, validate, and deploy AI/ML software solutions for healthcare applications.
- Analyze patient records, medical imaging, genomic information, and other complex healthcare data.
- Create and maintain quality system procedures, design requirements, verification activities, risk mitigations, and regulatory documentation.
- Design and maintain tools and CI/CD pipelines that automate AI software development and releases.
- Conduct governance reviews, assess product documentation and risks, and communicate evidence-based findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clinicians, UX designers, product managers, and IT professionals to assess workflows, requirements, feasibility, and usability.
- Apply machine learning techniques including deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and large language models.
- Contribute to AI development, deployment, data engineering, and MLOps standards and best practices.
- Provide training and education to healthcare staff on AI tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, health science, or a related field plus one year of experience, or a bachelor's degree in one of these fields plus three years of experience.
- Experience applying AI and machine learning in production or regulated technology environments, preferably involving healthcare technology.
- Experience with large, complex, heterogeneous datasets and skill with cloud infrastructure and software development tools.
- Proficiency in AI/ML techniques and frameworks, including tools such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Keras.
- Knowledge of healthcare workflows, electronic health records, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and common data models.
- Familiarity with systems or quality engineering, regulatory standards, compliance frameworks, user-centered design, human factors engineering, usability testing, and evaluation methods.
- Ability to conduct expert reviews, communicate complex technical findings to technical and non-technical audiences, and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. or other doctorate degree and expertise in Generative AI and healthcare technology evaluation.
