Base Salary
$269k - $352k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve and maintain the internal developer platform and its associated applications.
- Build and maintain shared tooling, templates, and internal libraries that accelerate development.
- Work directly with colleagues to understand use cases, reduce workflow friction, and improve developer experience.
- Support observability, monitoring, alerting, and production operations.
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team on secure and compliant developer workflows.
- Write and maintain developer documentation, onboarding guides, and runbooks.
- Own assigned projects and services from development through production support.
- Ship iterative improvements, incorporate user feedback, and maintain clear, structured code.
- Learn the inner workings of venture capital and work with the investing partnership.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python 3, Rust, or similar backend languages, with willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience defining and shipping developer platforms or internal tooling that improved engineering velocity.
- Experience deploying services on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with Docker; Kubernetes experience is preferred.
- Exposure to GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, CircleCI, or similar CI/CD systems.
- Experience with production SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; Elasticsearch or other NoSQL experience is preferred.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code concepts such as Terraform or Pulumi is preferred.
- Experience working in environments emphasizing rapid iteration, code quality, and operational excellence.
- Strong problem-solving skills, technical fundamentals, collaboration skills, empathy, and a low-ego working style.

- Available at Software Engineer (Partner 16) and Senior Software Engineer (Partner 18) levels.
