Base Salary
$269k - $352k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve and support the internal developer platform and its associated applications.
- Build and maintain shared tooling, templates, and internal libraries that accelerate development.
- Support observability, monitoring, alerting, production support, and developer self-service.
- Collaborate with colleagues and internal teams to understand use cases and reduce workflow friction.
- Write developer documentation, onboarding guides, and operational runbooks.
- Ship iterative improvements based on user feedback and own assigned projects and services from development through production support.
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team on security and compliance requirements for developer workflows.
- Write clear, maintainable code and contribute to inclusive collaboration across the firm.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python 3, Rust, or similar backend languages, with willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience defining and shipping developer platforms or internal tooling that improved engineering velocity.
- Experience working directly with users who have varied technical backgrounds.
- Experience deploying services on at least one major cloud platform: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with Docker and containerized services; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
- Exposure to CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or CircleCI.
- Experience with production SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; Elasticsearch or other NoSQL experience is a plus.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code concepts such as Terraform or Pulumi is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, technical fundamentals, code quality, operational excellence, and collaborative communication.
- Ability to work in an environment emphasizing rapid iteration and ownership.
