Base Salary
$269k - $352k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve and maintain the internal developer platform and its associated applications.
- Build shared tooling, templates, and internal libraries that accelerate product development.
- Work directly with colleagues to understand use cases and improve developer workflows.
- Support observability, monitoring, and alerting for production systems.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity on developer workflow security and compliance requirements.
- Write and maintain developer documentation, onboarding guides, and production runbooks.
- Own assigned projects and services from development through production support.
- Write clear, maintainable code and iteratively ship improvements based on user feedback.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python 3, Rust, or similar backend languages and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience defining and shipping developer platforms or internal tooling that improved engineering velocity.
- Experience deploying services on at least one major cloud platform: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with containerized services using Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
- Exposure to CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or CircleCI.
- Experience with production SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; NoSQL experience such as Elasticsearch is a plus.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, technical fundamentals, collaboration ability, empathy, and a focus on operational excellence.
- Ability to work with users of varied technical backgrounds and operate effectively in a rapidly iterative environment.
