Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical design specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, and code reviews for robust and scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns, developing standard operating procedures, and enhancing existing applications.
- Maintain codebases, review code changes, investigate relevant technologies, and support technical customer issues.
- Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to implement technical designs and deliver projects.
- Provide technical direction, lead project work, and mentor less experienced developers.
- Apply AI-native practices, automation, LLM knowledge, and modern engineering toolchains to improve software development and operational productivity.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience is required, including experience developing software for large business environments.
- At least 5 years of Java Full Stack Development experience is listed as an additional qualification.
- At least 3.5 years of Java Enterprise Edition experience is required.
- At least 3 years of experience developing mission-critical, low-latency solutions for large business environments is required.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture knowledge, preferably implemented in Java.
- Experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems, data architecture, big data, and machine learning solutions.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, Snowflake, software security tools, and shell scripting is preferred or advantageous.
- Experience with cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives and a strong understanding of LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Ability to operate across business strategy, product strategy, technical design, and implementation while leading cross-functional work and mentoring developers.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, decision-making, and customer-focus skills.
