Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale distributed Java applications for post-trade asset servicing operations.
- Lead technology projects, manage deliverables, and oversee end-user and vendor interactions.
- Clarify requirements, design architectures, implement solutions, conduct code reviews, deploy applications, and maintain systems.
- Collaborate with users and technologists on asset servicing regulatory and strategic initiatives.
- Support global delivery teams and business operations.
- Mentor and lead global development teams through technical delivery.
- Guide teams in modern front-end frameworks, JavaScript, Kafka, Python, and relational database technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum eight years of software development experience for distributed transactional systems.
- At least two years of managerial experience guiding teams through technical delivery.
- Experience in capital markets or investment banking.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, analytical, design, troubleshooting, communication, and business-to-technical translation skills.
- Expertise in service-oriented architecture, Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, middleware, Unix/Linux scripting, JUnit, and BDD.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, resiliency, scalability, and performance.
- Experience guiding teams in React, Angular, or Vue; advanced JavaScript; Kafka; Python; and relational database technologies including SQL and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with cloud-based application development, Agile, and DevOps practices.
- Preferred qualifications include investment banking or FinTech application development, corporate actions and asset servicing knowledge, and exposure to cloud architectures and public cloud offerings.
