Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale distributed Java applications supporting post-trade asset servicing operations.
- Lead technology projects, manage deliverables, and oversee end-user and vendor interactions.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and perform requirements clarification, architecture design, implementation, code review, deployment, and system maintenance.
- Collaborate with users and technologists on asset servicing regulatory and strategic initiatives.
- Support global delivery teams and business operations.
- Mentor and lead global development teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on software development experience with distributed transactional systems.
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial capacity guiding teams through technical delivery.
- Experience in capital markets or investment banking; investment banking or FinTech application development is preferred.
- Expertise in service-oriented architecture, Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, messaging and caching middleware, Unix/Linux scripting, JUnit, and BDD.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, system resiliency, scalability, and performance.
- Experience guiding teams in modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue; advanced JavaScript; Kafka; Python; and relational database technologies including SQL and stored procedures.
- Strong analytical, design, troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
- Familiarity with cloud-based application development, cloud architectures, public cloud offerings, Agile, and DevOps practices.
- Functional knowledge of corporate actions and asset servicing processes is preferred.
