Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, design, and evolution of enterprise-grade test automation frameworks.
- Build reusable Java automation components and frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Develop automated tests across UI, API, integration, end-to-end, and backend layers, including database validation with JDBC/JPA and SQL.
- Apply Page Object Model and other automation design patterns to improve scalability, maintainability, and extensibility.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket.
- Debug, refactor, optimize, and stabilize automation suites, addressing flakiness, synchronization, and locator issues.
- Use AI-driven testing capabilities such as intelligent test generation, self-healing automation, test optimization, anomaly detection, and defect pattern analysis.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, solution design, and quality engineering best practices.
- Mentor engineers and promote automation-first and AI-driven quality practices across the quality engineering community.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, and DevOps teams in Agile environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6–8+ years of experience in test automation, SDET, or quality engineering roles with a strong engineering focus.
- Strong hands-on Core Java programming experience, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, and basic concurrency or multithreading.
- Deep hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Page Objects, XPath and CSS locators, synchronization, and test stability practices.
- Hands-on experience with TestNG and/or JUnit, Maven or Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with API testing using Rest Assured and SQL-based backend validation.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and TDD/BDD principles.
- Ability to complete hands-on Java and Selenium coding exercises and live technical interviews.
- Preferred exposure to cloud environments, Docker, Kubernetes, and JMeter.
- Preferred experience working in Agile and DevOps environments with continuous integration and delivery.
