Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable API services for life and annuities insurance applications.
- Build and enhance Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK.
- Develop native iOS applications using Xcode and associated frameworks.
- Create and support cross-platform mobile features using React Native and TypeScript.
- Translate business requirements from product owners, stakeholders, and insurance SMEs into technical solutions.
- Support policy administration, claims, billing, servicing, and customer engagement functions.
- Conduct code reviews and promote performance, security, maintainability, and development best practices.
- Develop and execute unit and integration testing strategies.
- Monitor and improve mobile and backend application performance.
- Collaborate with QA, support, and operations teams to resolve production issues and improve delivery processes.
- Maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and architectural artifacts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable security, privacy, and insurance regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement through evaluation and adoption of modern technologies and practices.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of enterprise software development experience.
- Strong experience designing and implementing REST APIs and backend integrations.
- Advanced Android development experience with Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK.
- Experience developing native iOS applications with Xcode and associated frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with React Native and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, application security, testing methodologies, and development best practices.
- Experience working within Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
