Responsibilities
- Manage and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple accounts and regions.
- Operate and improve production Kubernetes environments using EKS, including workload security and day-two operations.
- Build and maintain Terraform infrastructure and complex GitLab CI or comparable CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot distributed systems, lead root cause analysis, and improve platform reliability.
- Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for stateless and stateful services.
- Improve developer tooling, automation, and operational workflows to enable faster and safer delivery.
- Use observability tools, SLIs, and SLOs to guide operational decisions and respond to incidents.
- Integrate AI tools and agentic workflows into incident alerts, infrastructure setup, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, stakeholders, and platform teammates while sharing technical knowledge.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
- Strong experience managing AWS at scale, including IAM, networking, security best practices, cost, and performance considerations.
- Fluency with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform or a similar tool.
- Production Kubernetes experience, particularly with EKS, workload security, and day-two operations.
- Experience building modern CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI or ArgoCD.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling.
- Hands-on production observability experience, preferably with Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or Loki.
- Experience applying SLIs and SLOs, handling incidents, and performing rollbacks or escalations.
- Clear communication, technical documentation skills, curiosity, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Ability and interest in using AI tools with appropriate context, tooling, and safety boundaries.
