Responsibilities
- Design and implement key components of Apple’s iCloud platform and client-side cloud services infrastructure.
- Build low-level and system-level software using C, Objective-C, Swift, libdispatch, POSIX APIs, synchronization protocols, frameworks, IPC, and multi-process performance techniques.
- Develop reliable systems supporting encrypted storage, protected computation, privacy, and system-wide resource sharing.
- Collaborate with CloudKit, server, Cryptography, Privacy, and other cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ship software on rapid development cycles and tight schedules.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong programming skills in Swift and/or Objective-C.
- Experience building on Apple platforms, including macOS, iOS, watchOS, or tvOS.
- Experience building and working with system-level frameworks and APIs.
- Experience with client-server architectures and network protocols in distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience.
- Experience with Swift concurrency is preferred.
- Experience with security, privacy, and cryptography concepts is preferred.
- Experience with event-based programming and/or inter-process communication is preferred.
- Ability to build relationships in highly cross-functional environments and communicate effectively.
