Responsibilities
- Extend enterprise applications with new user interfaces and RESTful APIs for AI-powered customer capabilities.
- Partner with ML engineers, UX designers, and product managers to turn model outputs and user requirements into production-ready features.
- Own features end to end, including database and API design, front-end implementation, and deployment.
- Optimize system architecture, performance, and scalability across the ML platform.
- Build internal tooling for deploying, testing, monitoring, and operating ML models and pipelines.
- Promote engineering best practices through code reviews, testing strategies, documentation, and mentorship of junior engineers.
- Improve automated testing processes and application reliability with quality engineering.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps and architectural decisions based on business goals.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one back-end language; Ruby/Rails experience is a plus, and Python is also used.
- Ability and willingness to learn new languages and frameworks.
- Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, plus front-end performance best practices.
- Strong SQL development skills and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with Git and modern branching, pull request, and code review workflows.
- Experience or exposure to Agile development methodology.
- Preferred: exposure to ML workflows, LLM-based systems, ML frameworks, or the Model Context Protocol.
- Preferred: experience with Snowflake, dbt, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
