Base Salary
$127k - $178k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the architecture, implementation, testing, and debugging of embedded firmware and drivers.
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded C/C++ software for real-time applications.
- Integrate CAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and cellular communications into embedded systems.
- Define requirements and interface specifications and validate cloud and software integration with Applications Systems Engineering.
- Conduct code reviews, peer programming, documentation, troubleshooting, product validation, field testing, and deployment support.
- Collaborate across hardware, firmware, and software teams and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint delivery.
- Ensure embedded products meet reliability, security, performance, and internal process standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- At least 8 years of hands-on embedded systems development experience using C/C++.
- Expertise integrating and troubleshooting CAN, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth Low Energy 5.x, and cellular communications.
- Hands-on experience with embedded software design, Embedded Linux, Yocto 4.x/5.x, RTOS, and hardware abstraction layers.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other hardware debugging tools.
- Preferred experience with OTA updates, remote device management, Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated test frameworks, connected telematics/HVAC/automotive/industrial IoT products, and embedded cybersecurity practices.
- Knowledge of Agile software development and direct Scrum team participation is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of embedded resource, power, timing, and reliability constraints; professional certifications in embedded software or wireless technologies are preferred.
