Base Salary

$155k - $233k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, reliable, well-instrumented security platform services and production-ready APIs.
  • Translate security and product requirements into architecture and code from proof of concept through hardened deployment.
  • Own the Security Operating System’s technical strategy, architecture, and multi-year roadmap.
  • Lead cross-team architectural alignment, technical decision-making, governance, escalations, and implementation planning.
  • Partner with engineering managers, product leaders, security executives, and business leaders to align technical direction with outcomes.
  • Provide technical oversight for architecture, quality, deployment practices, operational readiness, SLA/SLO compliance, observability, and fault tolerance.
  • Design automation-first workflows and integrations, plugins, and hooks across IAM, application security, endpoints, cloud, and data protection systems.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-driven and open-source security tooling, and proactively resolve technical risks and bottlenecks.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, platform engineering, or secure software development.
  • Strong grounding in IAM, application security, data protection, credential management, endpoint security, and cloud security.
  • Deep experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and service-based architectures.
  • Practical expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, API gateways, and service meshes.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or similar languages; polyglot experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions and modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Cloud-native delivery experience on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
  • Awareness of threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and risk analysis.
  • Experience driving technical alignment across multiple engineering teams or organizations, including executive-level communication and architectural governance.
  • Familiarity with security data analysis, machine learning, or AI-enhanced security workflows is a bonus.
