Base Salary

$220k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable software platforms and services for intelligent networking and AI experiences.
  • Build systems that process high-volume, high-velocity real-time network and operational data.
  • Develop distributed systems, event-driven microservices, cloud infrastructure, real-time analytics, and agentic AI capabilities.
  • Own software lifecycle activities including coding, code reviews, testing, build processes, deployment, and production operations.
  • Design reliable, observable, secure, adaptable, and high-performance systems with stringent scalability, availability, latency, and operational requirements.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on complex and ambiguous engineering problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 8 years of complete software development lifecycle experience.
  • At least 8 years of programming experience in a general-purpose language, preferably Python, Java, Go, or C++.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading the design and architecture of large-scale distributed systems, preferably on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with real-time microservices, stream processing, distributed data platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI or agentic systems, network telemetry, or large-scale analytics.
  • Experience designing high-volume, high-velocity data systems with demanding scalability, availability, latency, and reliability requirements.
  • Experience mentoring engineers, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s or PhD and experience with generative AI or agentic systems, networking, observability, telemetry, distributed control planes, and large-scale real-world datasets.
  • Preferred experience includes Kafka, Spark, Flink, PySpark, MapReduce, or comparable distributed data technologies.
