Responsibilities
- Finalize requirements with technical personnel and team members.
- Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
- Implement complex bug fixes and resolve technical issues.
- Translate product requirements into software designs and develop test-driven code.
- Apply coding best practices, development processes, and code reviews.
- Support API Platform capabilities, including API onboarding, lifecycle management, developer portals, credentials, usage tracking, and AI Gateways.
- Configure, observe, and manage Kubernetes applications and platform resources.
- Train and mentor entry-level software engineers.
Requirements
- Expertise with development languages and technologies including Java, JavaScript, Groovy, JSP, HTML, XML, SQL, and Bash.
- Experience with Maven and Gradle build tools.
- Experience with relational database management systems, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Experience using AWS services through Terraform, including Secrets Manager, Kinesis Firehose, S3, and OpenSearch.
- Experience configuring and using New Relic and Kibana for metrics, observability, and alerts.
- Experience using Docker, containers, Helm, and Kustomize to manage Kubernetes applications.
- Experience using kubectl, k9s, and similar tools to observe and manage Kubernetes resources.
- Knowledge of AWS ACM certificates, VPCs, transit gateways, and related networking concepts is a bonus.
