Base Salary
$115k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, engineering, and implementation of DHS OIG AI platform capabilities, including OIG Chat, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, and mission-specific AI applications.
- Design secure integration and connection patterns between Azure Government and Azure Commercial/GCC environments while meeting authorization, security, privacy, and ATO requirements.
- Provide technical leadership for enterprise data platforms, analytics integration, dashboarding services, and AI/ML infrastructure.
- Conduct technical options analysis, feasibility assessments, level-of-effort estimates, and platform enhancement planning.
- Coordinate architecture and integration decisions across AI applications, data pipelines, security controls, monitoring infrastructure, and cloud services.
- Design and configure cloud infrastructure covering compute, storage, networking, identity management, API management, and service integration.
- Support access controls, role-based permissions, Entra ID/Azure AD integration, conditional access, FedRAMP inheritance, ATO documentation, and compliance validation.
- Oversee architecture diagrams, integration specifications, design decisions, API documentation, security architectures, and platform capability inventories.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, M365/Azure administrators, and cross-functional development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of relevant experience, or equivalent alternatives including a master’s degree with 12 years, an associate degree with 17 years, or 21 years without a degree.
- Demonstrated technical leadership architecting and delivering enterprise-scale cloud platforms, AI/ML infrastructure, or data analytics solutions.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, AI services, and platform integration patterns.
- Extensive experience designing secure architectures for Azure Government and Azure Commercial environments, including boundary controls, cross-tenant connectivity, and data residency.
- Strong background in platform security, identity and access management, API design, microservices architectures, and integration patterns.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML platforms, LLM-based applications, RAG architectures, FedRAMP authorization, ATO support, NIST 800-53 controls, continuous monitoring, and federal or national security environments.
