Responsibilities
- Guide customers in implementing big data solutions on Databricks.
- Architect production-level data pipelines and optimize performance.
- Become a technical expert in areas like data lake technology or big data streaming.
- Assist Solution Architects with advanced technical sales aspects.
- Provide tutorials and training to improve community adoption.
- Contribute to the Databricks Community.
Requirements
- Fluent-proficiency in English and Portuguese/Spanish.
- 7+ years of experience in a technical role with expertise in software or data engineering.
- Extensive experience building big data pipelines.
- Experience maintaining and extending production data systems.
- Deep specialty expertise in areas like scaling big data workloads or migrating Hadoop workloads to the cloud.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Production programming experience in SQL and Python, Scala, or Java.
- 2 years of professional experience with Big Data technologies and architectures.
- 2 years of customer-facing experience in a pre-sales or post-sales role.
- Ability to meet expectations for technical training within 6 months of hire.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% when needed.
