Base Salary
$499k - $900k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver compute platform capabilities and drive adoption across Netflix.
- Own and improve Kubernetes data plane software, container runtime capabilities, container execution, and compute-node operating system infrastructure.
- Architect and implement scalable, extensible, reliable, and efficient distributed compute systems.
- Set the example for operational excellence, including incident response and on-call practices.
- Guide architectural decisions, evaluate industry trends and services, and contribute to the open-source ecosystem.
- Lead cross-functional projects and build strong partnerships with product managers and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience architecting and implementing large-scale distributed systems operating at 100M+ user scale.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and abstracting its complexities.
- Experience with Golang, Java, and/or Python.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to empower teams and align diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, balance correctness and speed, and manage multiple priorities.
