Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and technology requirements and translate them into Murex functional and technical solutions.
  • Review, standardize, simplify, redesign, configure, and enhance Murex Accounting functionality and processes.
  • Contribute to Murex development, associated interfaces, integration, migration, upgrades, and platform-change initiatives.
  • Perform unit testing, develop test scenarios, troubleshoot configuration and environmental issues, and prepare production releases.
  • Collaborate with Product Control, General Ledger technology, Finance, Business Analysts, Architects, Test Analysts, and technology representatives.
  • Validate integration designs with Murex as the platform vendor.
  • Produce functional, configuration, and technical documentation.
  • Lead knowledge-transfer activities and support the development of Murex capability across the wider team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience delivering Murex solutions in banking, capital markets, or financial-services environments.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Murex Accounting configuration, troubleshooting, and solution design.
  • Demonstrated Murex development experience involving integration, migration, or upgrades.
  • Experience supporting an FX Cash business or technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, derivatives, risk, profit and loss, front-to-back trade processing, and the Murex trade lifecycle.
  • Experience across the full software development life cycle and with UNIX, SQL, and scripting.
  • Knowledge of core Murex modules, system configuration, troubleshooting, end-user support, workflows, data models, batch processing, reporting, and interfaces.
  • Experience with Murex workflows, XSLT, MSL, mxpress workflow phases, contracts, events, deliverables, FINDB, and Datamart configuration.
  • Experience working with Product Control, General Ledger technology, Finance, or related stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation, solution-improvement, and knowledge-transfer skills.
  • University degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Finance, Accounting, or another relevant numerically focused discipline.
