Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy automation for deployment pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, platform operations, release orchestration, validation, rollback, and configuration management.
- Write production-grade Python, Go, or Bash to reduce operational toil and improve reliability and scalability.
- Design, operate, and optimize relational database platforms, including upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, replication monitoring, index tuning, and capacity management.
- Develop GenAI-powered and LLM-driven tools for deployment orchestration, observability, incident response, troubleshooting, release governance, and developer productivity.
- Build dashboards, alerts, telemetry pipelines, health indicators, self-healing capabilities, automated remediation, and auto-scaling solutions.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, applications, databases, and platform services; perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
- Implement highly available infrastructure while addressing security, compliance, governance, vulnerability remediation, hardening, patch management, and security automation.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, technical planning, documentation, on-call rotations, and incident response.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience, an advanced degree with at least 2+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Hands-on software engineering or automation experience with Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a comparable language.
- Experience with Linux-based systems, distributed applications or infrastructure, backend services, APIs, command-line tools, integrations, or operational automation.
- Experience with logging, search, metrics, visualization, telemetry, alerting, dashboards, and platform integration technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and cloud-native architecture and services.
- Experience with containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, and deployment tooling.
- Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, capacity planning, and reliability engineering.
- Experience with production incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, preventive remediation, vulnerability remediation, secure configuration, certificate management, patching, upgrades, and software lifecycle management.
- Ability to translate platform requirements into maintainable engineering solutions and technical documentation, with strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
