Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions for client projects.
- Identify cross-functional solutions using software development, DevOps, and infrastructure expertise.
- Design, plan, and implement cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Develop backend services, APIs, and system components aligned with specifications and documentation.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, automation practices, and delivery processes.
- Contribute to containerized, virtualized, and cloud-native environments.
- Support modernization initiatives involving architecture, testing, deployment, observability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Define, document, and communicate non-functional requirements such as performance, reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Coach colleagues on software development, DevOps, infrastructure, and delivery best practices.
- Own deliverables end to end, manage priorities, and maintain software quality standards.
- Research, test, and implement new techniques, tools, and technologies.
- Advise clients on technical direction, tradeoffs, architecture, infrastructure, and solution design.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including recent hands-on experience with DevOps, cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, certification in a software-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate or conversational French at minimum.
- Strong backend development experience and experience designing APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud or on-premises infrastructure.
- Technical judgment and the ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions.
- Experience collaborating directly with clients or stakeholders.
- Ability to support team members and contribute to technical delivery quality.
- Comfort working in ambiguous contexts and structuring complex problems.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform, server-side programming language, virtualization, containerization, infrastructure as code, deployment automation, observability, testing, cloud cost optimization, security, networking, identity, and access management.
- Frontend, full-stack, edge computing, IoT, robotics, industrial systems, developer tools, caching, messaging, event-driven architecture, hexagonal architecture, Domain-Driven Design, high availability, technical leadership, application security, compliance, or regulated-environment experience is considered an asset.
