Base Salary
$170k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and own the development of new features.
- Collaborate across the organization on system architecture, technology, and scaling decisions.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Design relational and non-relational data models for storage, retrieval, and complex processing.
- Drive technical architecture discussions and peer code reviews.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Product, and engineering teams to shape the roadmap and deliver platform initiatives.
- Ship high-quality code to production daily.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience using object-oriented and/or functional programming languages, with Python required.
- Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Cody.
- Experience evaluating and deploying LLM-based systems in production, including latency, cost, and reliability trade-offs.
- 4+ years of experience building distributed systems at scale.
- 4+ years of experience with a modern data stack including RDS, Databricks, Spark, Redshift, Kafka, Airflow, lakehouse architectures, real-time databases, or dbt.
- Deep SQL and data-modeling expertise.
- Experience delivering large-impact initiatives across an organization.
- Experience with highly available APIs using REST, gRPC, or GraphQL is preferred.
- Experience developing applied AI/ML-enabled features is preferred.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG architectures, evaluation frameworks, or fine-tuning is preferred.
