Responsibilities
- Validate and test SAS9 software and multiple SAS9 products on Windows and Unix platforms.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts.
- Create test plans, cases, scenarios, usage models, test strategies, and test ideas.
- Install, configure, and independently support test environments for multiple projects.
- Support SAS9 infrastructure and continuous deployment infrastructure.
- Automate deployment processes using internal tools, Jenkins, Python, and Shell scripts as applicable.
- Identify risks, issues, and defects throughout the project lifecycle and manage them through closure.
- Install and administer PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SAS, or related database management systems.
- Administer Linux, Windows, and SAS software.
- Debug complex software systems and contribute to planning and design work.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience.
- Experience administering Windows and Unix operating systems.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages including Java, Shell Script, and Python.
- Experience installing and administering PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SAS, or related DBMS software.
- Knowledge of security concepts and tools such as Snyk and Black Duck.
- Familiarity with IBM Virtual Identity Access/WebSeal, SiteMinder, and Integrated Windows Authentication.
- Familiarity with security principles including FIPS, TLS, certificates, and private-key infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and hypervisors.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and ability to learn new technologies.
- Aptitude for working with large legacy products.
- Experience or willingness to use AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code.
