Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain product-based test automation frameworks for functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test procedures, and automated test scripts based on software requirements and design specifications.
- Execute embedded software, system, integration, functional, regression, and verification testing throughout the product lifecycle.
- Validate software updates, cloud/backend services, communication interfaces, device interactions, and embedded software components using mocking and simulation.
- Analyze test results, track defects, report test status, and drive continuous quality improvements.
- Apply risk-based testing to verify and validate safety-critical software.
- Participate in requirements reviews, design discussions, testability analysis, and cross-functional product release activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or equivalent.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in embedded software testing, preferably in healthcare or medical-device domains.
- Strong experience with test automation, C# or Python scripting, and automation framework development.
- Experience with BDD or TDD, mocking frameworks, test simulation technologies, automation architecture, and enterprise-scale automated test solutions.
- Understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, software and testing life cycles, and test reporting, metrics, traceability, and requirements management.
- Experience with regulated environments and standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, or ISO 13485, including medical-device software verification and validation.
- Proficiency with HP ALM, Azure DevOps, Jira, or other test management and defect tracking tools.
- ISTQB Foundation Level or Advanced Level Certification is preferred.
