Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end software verification and validation across cloud, web, and mobile platforms.
- Translate product, system, and technical requirements into manual and automated test strategies, plans, and cases.
- Design, build, and scale API, web, and mobile test automation frameworks.
- Drive automation opportunities, coverage, reliability, and execution speed improvements.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, risks, and test cases in regulated development processes.
- Define and execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing strategies.
- Develop verification plans, protocols, reports, and other compliant artifacts.
- Support defect triage, impact assessments, risk management, and root-cause investigations.
- Partner with engineering, product, architecture, and quality teams and participate in design reviews.
- Mentor engineers on automation practices, engineering discipline, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in software test engineering, verification, or quality engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in regulated software development, such as medical devices or digital health.
- Strong experience with software verification and validation, defect management, requirements traceability, and risk-based testing.
- Demonstrated experience implementing automated testing across API, web, mobile, or similar platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Preferred experience with Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, Jest, BDD automation, and Jira test management integrations such as Xray or Zephyr.
- Preferred understanding of cloud-native systems, APIs, microservices, distributed architectures, HIPAA, GDPR, and connected hardware testing.
- Experience in regulated environments and the ability to improve testing frameworks, tooling, and quality processes are preferred.
