Base Salary
$133k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Execute the technical roadmap to modernize enterprise platforms using API-first design and microservices architecture.
- Design, develop, and deploy resilient, low-latency, event-driven solutions while owning work from API tiers through backend services.
- Maintain coding standards, perform code reviews, and champion TDD/BDD practices.
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and System Architects to translate business needs into scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Use Docker and Kubernetes to manage service lifecycles in hybrid and public cloud environments.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to improve problem solving and engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience with production-grade microservices.
- Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Boot, Go, or Rust.
- Expertise in distributed data patterns including CQRS and Event Sourcing, plus event-driven communication using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Experience designing and scaling SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions within the functional domain.
- Preferred: experience with AI-driven automated testing or generative AI tools for microservice performance and code-generation workflows.
- Preferred: experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Preferred: practical knowledge of chaos engineering and advanced performance testing tools.
