Responsibilities
- Design, train, and ship ranking and retrieval models for AI agents.
- Introduce ranking signals beyond pure relevance.
- Build and maintain an evaluation framework for measuring search-quality improvements.
- Optimize model serving for latency and GPU cost.
- Use customer and benchmark feedback to deliver measurable ranking improvements.
- Deploy ranking models to production and demonstrate gains on evaluation sets.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on production experience in information retrieval, ranking, or search.
- Ability to build rigorous evaluations and validate the data behind results.
- Attention to latency, cost, reliability, and model quality.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment.
