Responsibilities
- Design and develop Windows software, services, and features that ship to customers and partners at global scale.
- Work with Windows stakeholders to determine user requirements and contribute to product-area design documents with limited oversight.
- Create and implement product, service, and feature code while breaking down work and providing estimates.
- Identify dependencies and coordinate technical work with partner teams.
- Act as an on-call Designated Responsible Individual monitoring systems and services for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in the listed languages.
- Excellent design, coding, debugging, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused innovation mindset and passion for engineering craftsmanship.
- Experience with cross-group design and coordination is an advantage.
