Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy applications using foundation models, LLMs, and GPT-class or open-source models.
- Architect and implement RAG systems using embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases.
- Fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, and optimize models for quality, latency, cost, and performance.
- Develop prompt engineering strategies, prompt pipelines, guardrails, safety layers, and hallucination-mitigation approaches.
- Build and maintain APIs, backend services, AI-driven applications, data pipelines, and microservices.
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into products.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, test, and improve deployed AI systems in production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of application or web development experience and at least 2 years working directly with LLM-based systems.
- Required proficiency in Python and experience with RAG, embeddings, semantic search, vector databases, model fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, and model benchmarking.
- Knowledge of AI safety, alignment, guardrails, and hallucination mitigation strategies.
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and preferably React or Next.js.
- Experience building APIs with FastAPI, Flask, or Django and working with asynchronous programming and microservices.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Exceptional candidates have built end-to-end LLM products and understand trade-offs between open-source and hosted model APIs.
