Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate identity and access management services covering authentication flows, sessions, device trust, authorization, entitlements, roles, permissions, and policies.
- Implement security controls such as MFA and key management in collaboration with security teams.
- Own transfers, payments orchestration, ledgering, reconciliation, limits, risk controls, and transactional correctness systems.
- Build and maintain blockchain infrastructure including node and RPC management, transaction submission, monitoring, retry logic, and on-chain data indexing and streaming.
- Define and uphold reliability and observability standards including SLOs, error budgets, dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and incident management practices.
- Lead large cross-functional technical projects from design through rollout with Product, Security, and Ops.
- Mentor and guide engineers and contribute to engineering standards, design reviews, and documentation.
- Stay current with industry best practices in authentication, key management, and secure infrastructure for crypto and trading.
Requirements
- 5–12+ years of backend, product, or platform engineering experience, including work with high-scale, high-availability systems in fintech, crypto, or similar domains.
- Deep expertise in at least one of identity and access/security engineering, financial systems/ledgering/payments, or blockchain infrastructure/on-chain data.
- Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems including datastores, queues, streaming, and background workers.
- Track record of driving architecture decisions through implementation and adoption.
- Strong operational experience with monitoring, on-call, incident response, and postmortems.
- Strong collaboration skills with Product, Security, and Ops.
- Nice-to-have experience with Flutter, React Native, React, or Headless CRMs.
- Nice-to-have experience with Go, Rust, Solana, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, crypto wallets, exchanges, on-chain protocols, DeFi, L2s, or ZK.
- Exposure to data warehousing and analytics for financial reporting is valued.
- Contributions to open-source projects are valued.
