Base Salary
$173k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on execution of high-impact e-commerce software initiatives and guide architecture decisions.
- Architect, build, and scale high-performance, resilient backend systems for global internal and external users.
- Design and develop RESTful microservices and GraphQL APIs.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and peer engineers to scope, build, and launch software.
- Own features from concept through production while maintaining stakeholder alignment and delivery quality.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment focused on technical excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- Mastery of Java, Kotlin, or Python and expertise designing and scaling microservices and GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Amazon SQS, AWS or GCP, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, Docker, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, automated testing, and DataDog.
- Demonstrated ownership of features from concept to production and experience navigating cross-functional team dynamics.
- E-commerce platform experience, DevOps or CI/CD pipeline experience, and full-stack experience with React or Next.js are bonuses.
- Familiarity with AI tooling in modern software engineering workflows is a bonus.
